Pitchers and Catchers Report

If the pitchers and catchers are reporting, that only means one thing…it is time to start your spring allergy season pretreatment!!  That is right.  Believe it or not, we already have detectable pollen levels in the air (trees) even though we have snow predicted, yet again, this weekend.  We must not forget that things happen outside our immediate areas, and that the wind can carry pollen thousands of miles anywhere.  So, now is the time to start your nasal steroid sprays such as Flonase, Nasacort, Rhinocort, Nasonex etc. Next add an otc non-sedating antihistamine if needed for increasing symptoms.  Spring for us starts around the first of February, when we continue to have winter like weather.  One good thing is that it also means that baseball and spring weather is not that far away.  Well, I am already experiencing baseball…. college baseball has already begun playing games.  Believe me—I am ready for spring.  You are not supposed to be playing/watching baseball in winter gear that you didn’t even need during football season!  Oh well.  It is what it is, and it is the start of the allergy season for seasonal pollens.  If your over the counter treatments are not helping control your allergy symptoms…come see us so we can help get then under control so you can enjoy those baseball games….no matter where they are.
